Storm Damage Checklist
- Complete a self-inspection. We always recommend you perform your own inspection as proper due diligence, before calling us for our free inspection. Assess your property for storm damage. Walk around the perimeter of the property and photograph or take note of any damage. Obvious signs of damage include missing roof shingles or tiles, as well as damage to roof vents, gutters or window well covers from hail. Look for leaks and water spots in your attic and ceilings. Even though your roof may appear undamaged from the outside, wind and hail may have caused leaks that can lead to problems later.
- Schedule a professional inspection. Though your shingles may appear undamaged, hail impacting a roof can cause extensive damage that leads to more serious problems if left undetected. It takes a trained professional to make this assessment. Call a contractor you can trust. We provide professional photo and/or video documentation of the damages and a report of our findings along with a recommended course of action.
- File an insurance claim. Call your insurance provider to file your roof insurance claim. Refer to your own notes as well as the report we provide you to get the claim started. An adjuster will be assigned to your claim and arrange an onsite inspection of the damages. Notify your Allphase representative of the date and time of the appointment so we can be present.
